Turritella Agate Cabs

Commonly known as Turritella agate the small snail found in this agateized agate are actually Elmia tenera. These small snails were found along the shallow shores of ancient lakes Uinta and Gosiute. These lakes were in what is now Wyoming and Utah. This agate is found in the Green River Formation near Wamsutter, Wyoming. This is a unique fossil snail preserved forever in this beautiful brown and cream colored agate.
